Nick continues his sermon series on Exile comparing our present situation as people of the Kingdom of God living in a world that is not our home. In exile the prophets told the people of Israel that they were to settle down, marry, have children, and bless the prosperity of the city to which they have been exiled. In other words, to find shalom in their living situation.

Pastor Nick begins his a sermon series on Exile as we continue to walk through the history of the Israelites. In this Sunday's sermon, Nick defines what exile is and how God spoke through the prophets of the time and  told the people in exile how to live. Maybe we are in exile now and this is how we should live as the people of God......

King Josiah brought revival to the kingdom of Judah even though he knew the kingdom was going into exile after he died. He planted seeds that he knew he would not see grow, but he did it anyway. We must continue to plant seeds of the kingdom even if we will not get to the see the fruits of it.

Jehu did what God wanted. And was a bad king. Jehu got some things done for Yahweh. But Jehu did not follow Yahweh.
