Lord please help me to know when I should confront something and when it would honor You and advance Your Kingdom for me to walk away.   Acts 9:23-25 After a while some of the Jews plotted together to kill him. They were watching for him day and night at the city gate so they could murder him, but Saul was told about their plot. So during the night, some of the other believers lowered him in a large basket through an opening in the city wall.

Lord please help me to gladly embrace my calling as Your chosen instrument and the suffering that accompanies that calling.   Acts 9:15-16 But the Lord said, “Go, for Saul is my chosen instrument to take my message to the Gentiles and to kings, as well as to the people of Israel. And I will show him how much he must suffer for my name’s sake.”

Lord please show me where to go today and who I should speak to that You have prepared to receive Your message   Acts 8:26, 29-31 As for Philip, an angel of the Lord said to him, “Go south down the desert road that runs from Jerusalem to Gaza.” The Holy Spirit said to Philip, “Go over and walk along beside the carriage.” Philip ran over and heard the man reading from the prophet Isaiah. Philip asked, “Do you understand what you are reading?” The man replied, “How can I, unless someone instructs me?” And he urged Philip to come up into the carriage and sit with him.

God please help me when things seem uncertain to continue to trust You rather than turning to something else to lead or satisfy me.   Acts 7:40-42 They told Aaron, ‘Make us some gods who can lead us, for we don’t know what has become of this Moses, who brought us out of Egypt.’ So they made an idol shaped like a calf, and they sacrificed to it and celebrated over this thing they had made. Then God turned away from them and abandoned them to serve the stars of heaven as their gods!

God please be with me today (especially when I face opposition and trials). Help me to patiently and confidently wait for You to rescue me and give me favor and wisdom to make a difference in this world for Your kingdom.   Acts 7:9-10 The patriarchs were jealous of their brother Joseph, so they sold him as a slave into Egypt. Even so, God was with him; and time after time, God rescued Joseph from whatever trials befell him. God gave Joseph the favor and wisdom to overcome each adversity and eventually to win the confidence and respect of his captors, including Pharaoh, the king of Egypt himself. So Pharaoh entrusted his whole nation and his whole household to Joseph’s stewardship.

Heavenly Father please help me to know when You want me to step in and confront or try to stop something and when You want me to step back and allow You to make the needed changes.   Acts 5:38-39 “So my advice is, leave these men alone. Let them go. If they are planning and doing these things merely on their own, it will soon be overthrown. But if it is from God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You may even find yourselves fighting against God!”

Lord help me to be alert for the schemes of my enemy so I never let Satan to fill my heart   Acts 5:3 Then Peter said, “Ananias, why have you let Satan fill your heart? You lied to the Holy Spirit, and you kept some of the money for yourself.

Lord please help me to see how You fullfill Your purpose through even the most terrible circumstances and use that realization to constrain me with the full freedom to declare Your beauty and greatness to others   Acts 4:28-29 To carry out all that Your hand and Your will and purpose had predestined (predetermined) should occur. And now, Lord, observe their threats and grant to Your bond servants [full freedom] to declare Your message fearlessly,

Jesus please fill me with Your spirit so I capitalize on every opportunity You give to speak with such boldness about You to people that it draws them to You in amazement.   Acts 4:8, 13 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers and elders of our people, The members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men with no special training in the Scriptures. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus.
