God is…love…holy…powerful…faithful…all of this and infinitely more.
But before we can ever attempt to grasp the attributes of our God, we need to nail one fact down. He’s “The Unchanging God”. The God of the Bible didn’t develop these attributes over time. He can’t increase or diminish His character. What He said in Malachi 3:6 is still true today, “I am the Lord—I do not change.”

Dads who parent God’s way are all about “Building a Legacy”. This never happens by accident… it happens when they choose to get intentional. It happens when parents realize that their kids need from them so much more than what a paycheck can provide. They need parents who are pouring into them today with eternity in mind.

And here’s the thing… it doesn’t matter your background, your personality, or your depth of knowledge. God wants to do what only He can do through each one of us to see the others come to know Jesus.

This is the third and final message in Pastor Harrell’s series, No Greater Calling. In this message, Pastor looks to Matthew 7 to help us lay a solid foundation so that our families will remain standing on Christ the, solid rock, “When the Storms Arrive.”

As parents, we spend a lot of time thinking and planning for our child’s future. Where to send them to school… what activities to get them signed up for. We do an awful lot to help prepare them for this life. But God is calling parents to more. Academics, sports, future jobs… these are all secondary. In God’s eyes, there is “NO Greater Calling” that a parent has than to make a deliberate decision to point and lead their children to Him.

In part two, Pastor Harrell shifts the focus to protecting our marriages, so that our families can reap the benefit and Jesus can receive the glory!
