Sharing our faith can be tough but when we're challenged by those who are critical or oppositional to God, it's even harder! How do we share Jesus with those who are skeptical? Is there a method that can help us when faced with people who have been hurt? Jesus shows us the best way to speak to skeptics, and His method still works today!

Companies spend thousands of dollars every year on advertising. They want people to know about their products in order to generate revenue. But everyone knows the BEST advertising doesn’t cost anything. It comes from word of mouth. People telling people about something they like is more powerful than any expensive commercial ever could be. So what would happen if we used word of mouth to tell people about Jesus?

The final characteristic of God we will dig into is His faithfulness. In a world filled with people who don’t live up to what they say they’re going to do, this might be one of the most encouraging aspects to God’s character. He always fulfills His promises, He always deals with us honestly and He always follows through on what He says He’s going to do.

Everyone wants love. It’s part of how we’re wired and that, too, is because love is one of the defining attributes of God. He plants that desire in all of us. Many of us also know that God loves everyone, yet there’s a gap between the need and the solution: Why? Learning exactly what God’s love IS can help fill that gap.

Life is not fair. Most of us know that. We see it and feel it all around us. But have you ever wondered why we think life SHOULD be fair? Why do we get upset when things don’t happen the way we think they should? Where does this sense of fairness that we all have come from? God has placed in all of us a desire to see fairness happen and justice be done because those are reflective of Him and His character. Now we just need to figure out how to respond to His justice!

We all face difficult decisions every day. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a place we could go to find out what to do when faced with those decisions? If only there we someone we could talk to in order to get advice and guidance! Fortunately for us, there is such a place. One of God’s attributes that flows out of His other traits is His wisdom. God knows just what to do and how to do it, no matter the situation we find ourselves in. All we need to do is seek out that wisdom!

The book of Hebrews says “...without holiness no one will see the Lord.” (Heb. 12:14b.) That’s a pretty high bar and, for many, a difficult statement to comprehend. What does it mean that God is Holy and what does it mean for us to strive to be holy as well? What difference does it all make? We must understand the majesty and power of God’s holiness if we’re to learn how to live holy lives as He commanded us to.

God declares that He is the sovereign Lord. But what exactly does that mean? In our world, we don’t really have “sovereigns” anymore so it can be hard to wrap our minds around what it means for God to be, truly, sovereign. If He is sovereign, how does He display His sovereignty, and in what ways should we respond?

Because God is good and God is for us, all His commandments are for our good, and surrendering to His will is the means by which He blesses us. It’s up to every believer to embrace the battle and face the barriers to reach a breakthrough.
