Tim was born and raised in Modesto, California. He attended University of Idaho for his undergraduate degree, earning a B.S. in Psychology and Organizational Science. Before continuing on to a graduate program, Tim worked for various Residential Programs in Idaho. While challenging, it helped form his decision to subsequently earn a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington.
Tim prefers to use an eclectic approach to his therapy techniques, including borrowing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT, Experiential Therapy, Family Systems Theory, Bowen Therapy, and Emotionally-Focused Couples/Family Therapy, amongst others. Tim chose MFT because he has a passion for inspiring people to live complete and fulfilling lives. When not devoting his time to helping others, Tim enjoys biking, hiking, basketball, soccer, football, swimming; all things active.
