The submission of cerulean blue, silver and black made by Emily Stephens, a mother and teacher at Destin Elementary, won the school color contest. “I’m very flattered and honored that I can be a part of Destin history,” Stephens said.

Chick-Fil-A will close after business on Friday for approximately 10 weeks as it undergoes a massive, estimated $3.2 million renovation, according to a Facebook video post from owner Matthew Sexton on Jan. 17.
