Local mother, Sharon O'Prey, who took to Walton county officials whenever she noticed a worn-down handicap-accessibility sign needed to get replaced. The Foye Belle Foundation is a non-profit that was designed to send cancer patients -- specifically breast cancer but they don't refuse others -- a care package called a 'Blue Bag' that comes with things to help pass time and provide comfort during Chemo treatments. "The girl was arrested and she was charged," said Ray Sansom, vice president of school administration. She was suspended for 10 days from school and permanently banned from the bus.

CRESTVIEW — Okaloosa County sheriff’s investigators think they not only solved the mystery of who stole $400,000 worth of silver coins from a safe at a home, but also recovered most of the money.

Stephen Aaron Barnes, 37, of Destin was charged last Thursday with grand theft of more than $100,000, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office.
