FORT WALTON BEACH — A 25-year-old Fort Walton Beach woman was charged with sexual battery by a custodian Friday with a victim under the age of 18.

Gloria D. Miles, of Russell, Kentucky was airlifted to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center with serious injuries after the accident, which occurred on State Road 85 near its intersection with Rainmaker Drive, according to a Florida Highway Patrol media release.

As the deputy felt himself losing his balance, he drew his Glock 9mm firearm and fired four shots which struck Isaac Scroggie, causing his death,” according to the report.
