In the second half of John 8 Jesus continues to make bold statements like, "the truth will set you free" (8:32) and, "...before Abraham was, I AM" (8:58). These truths cause a heated debate, rude comments by the Pharisees, and shatters the box they have for Jesus to the point that they want to stone Jesus to death.
