An annual celebration of Asian culture marked its fifth year Friday at the Farmers Market Pavilion in Eugene. As KLCC’s Brian Bull reports, the Asian Night Market is the precursor to an even bigger event.

It’s almost the end of the school year. And for kids completing their first year of school, there’s a new diploma. As Elizabeth Miller reports, the “kindergarten diploma” can bring with it a hundred dollars contribution to an education savings account.

Under a new program from the Oregon State Treasurer, the families of five-year-olds will be eligible to receive one-hundred-dollars to start state-managed savings accounts for kids’ college.
