A popular soccer bar in Seattle's Fremont neighborhood is hoping it can re-activate its liquor license in time to host fans for World Cup watch parties.

LEDE: Walla Walla’s Gesa [GEESE-uh] Power House Theatre now has wearable devices that allow deaf audience members to feel the music through their bodies. They’re called “haptic [HAP-tick] vests.” N-W-P-B’s Erick Bengel reports.

STORY: The Gesa [GEESE-uh] Power House Theatre in Walla Walla has expanded its accessibility options for people who are deaf. Now, these audience members can experience concerts by feeling the music through their bodies. They’re using something called a haptic [HAP-tick] vest. Those vests vibrate with the rhythm of the music. Becky Hatley [HAT-lee] is the artistic director at Gesa [GEESE-uh]. She first got the idea to use the vests when she learned that the band Coldplay provides them during their shows.

From March through September, an unusual set of restrictions are put in place along some Oregon beaches: no kites or drones, only leashed dogs and no walking in some sandy areas. The rules are meant to help a small beach-nesting bird that was once under Endangered Species Act protections. KLCC’s Zac Ziegler reports that those closures appear to be helping the snowy plover [PLOH-ver] recover:
