Fatal drug overdoses in Oregon fell in 2024, according to federal data. The Oregon health authority says that’s largely due to fewer fentanyl overdoses. Amelia Templeton has more.

Oregon’s valuable commercial Dungeness crab fishery has seen significant changes in recent years as the state looks to minimize and monitor whale entanglements involving gear used in the fishery. And as KMUN’s Katie Frankowicz [FRANK-oh-wits] reports, many changes are tied to a federal permit the state is seeking that would determine how much the fishery is allowed to impact endangered whale species.

The Oregon Department of Forestry is gearing up for another expensive wildfire season.

White Bird Clinic has reached a settlement with a rival non-profit it sued over copyright infringement and the theft of trade secrets.

A former employee of the social services nonprofit UCAN [you-can] has been sentenced to two years in prison for stealing from the organization.

SeaTac is partnering with Explore Seattle Southside to provide the communities’ approximately 30 hotels with naloxone, the opioid overdose reversal medication.
