A special election in Tacoma next week [Tues 4/28] seeks voter approval for a $155-million dollar bond measure, Proposition 1.

It’s peak bird migration season, from now through May. Hundreds of thousands birds are flying across Washington each night, heading north for food and breeding. KNKX’s Anna Marie Yanny has more.

A special election in Tacoma this month is seeking approval for a $155-million dollar bond measure, Proposition 1.

It's peak migration season for millions of birds flying north across Washington.

So far this year, three gray whales have washed ashore along Oregon's beaches [[and 9 in Washington]]. They're part of an alarming increase in whale strandings across the West Coast. OPB's April Ehrlich has more.

A disaster-relief nonprofit in Oregon is being sued for misspending hundreds of thousands of dollars that was meant to help victims of wildfires, floods and tornadoes.
