That includes those who are nearly U.S. citizens.

The Ash Grove Cement plant is hard to miss if you ever go over the West Seattle bridge.

Every day, the plant burns natural gas and thousands of old tires for fuel.

It’s been about a decade since a major marine heat wave off the west coast dissipated. It stuck around for nearly three years and was referred to by scientists as “the blob.” Since then, they’ve observed smaller heat waves that have raised water temperatures off the west coast almost every year.
