About a decade ago, the county created a program it calls Opportunity-Based Probation.

The Trump administration has announced its intent to dismantle the National Center for Atmospheric Research and close its flagship facility in Colorado. The center was created by the National Science Foundation in 19-60 to strengthen computer models and research methods for understanding weather and the climate. It is run by a consortium of universities. The University of Washington is one of the 14 founding members.
