Oregon lawmakers will likely consider restrictions on Automatic License Plate Reader technology next year.

Moving a dairy cow with a full bag of milk out of the way of flooding is not an easy operation. But many dairy cattle have had to be moved across Washington state because of catastrophic flooding. NWPB’s Senior Correspondent Anna King reports.

More than 100,000 Washingtonians were advised to evacuate their homes during last week’s [week of 12/8] catastrophic flooding.

That’s about double the number of Washington homes and businesses that are covered by flood insurance.

KUOW’s Monica Nickelsburg has more on the options for property owners after the flood.

Higher gas taxes and vehicle registration fees for Oregon drivers won’t go into effect as scheduled next month. As Dirk VanderHart reports, opponents of the tax hikes appear set to refer them to voters.

There’s a new course for bikers in Kennewick. The city just opened its first pump track: A circuit of rolling hills and banked turns where riders pump their arms and legs to pick up speed.

State and local officials are warning residents of Skagit County to find higher ground ahead of potentially catastrophic flooding on Friday.

At a press conference in Mount Vernon [on Thursday], Skagit County Commissioner Lisa Janicki [JAN-uh-kee] pleaded with locals who live in low lying areas to evacuate.
