Today ((ON WED)), the U-S Department of Transportation announced a last minute reprieve for its Essential Air Service program. The program’s subsidies help fund commercial air service in Pendleton. But as Antonio Sierra reports, its short term future remains uncertain.

The Eugene City Council voted today [Wednesday] to ask their city manager to immediately turn off their automatic license plate readers, also known as Flock cameras.

Ten million dollars is the fundraising goal of a collaboration in south central Washington. The money would boost education and job opportunities.

The conservative backer of two voter initiatives says people have been ripping up pages of signatures as his group tries to gather support.
