Several hundred protesters gathered outside the Lane County Circuit Court in Eugene this afternoon [Thursday afternoon] for a “May Day” protest. As KLCC’s Brian Bull reports, the call was to champion working class people.

Hundreds of people took to the streets in Salem today ((THURS)) in support of May Day. That’s an international event commemorating the fight for workers’ rights, just pay and working conditions.

Lawmakers are aiming to prevent the growing problem of inhalant abuse. Two bills in the Legislature would prohibit selling products containing certain gases to young people. OPB’s Bryce Dole has more.

In downtown Seattle today [Thursday] more than three hundred attorneys restated their oath to uphold the rule of law in Washington.

County commissioners are considering a wind farm on the Palouse. N-W-P-B’s Diana Romero talked with one of the commissioners considering the project proposal.

Today [MAY 1] The Deschutes National Forest closed 26-thousand acres and evicted about 200 people who camped there. The people who were living in the forest are trying to decide where to go next. Kathryn Styer Martinez reports.

Wind turbine blades are really hard to recycle. The type of glass fiber polymers don’t melt easily like other plastics do. So the blades often end up in landfills.

Washington public schools are under investigation by the federal Department of Education. The Department cites claims that the state is coercing school districts into following policies that violate Title IX and parental rights.
