Wildfires near Mount Hood are prompting evacuations – and people in several Wasco ((WAH-sko)) County communities have been told to prepare in case they are next.

STORY:

The Northern Rockies Complex Incident Management Team 6 is now fighting three wildfires in southeast Washington and northeast Oregon. As of Monday, the Hagen [HAY-gun] Fire had burned about 50-thousand acres and was about 11 percent contained. The Paradise Fire had burned more than 3-thousand acres and is still active. And the Horse Ridge Fire had burned more than 800 acres and is almost entirely contained.

LEDE: Large wildfires continue to burn in southeast Washington and northeast Oregon. At a community meeting on Monday, the team overseeing the firefighting efforts provided updates on the Hagen [HAY-gun], Paradise and Horse Ridge fires.
