Students and employees pushed back on Southern Oregon University’s plan to slash more than $20 million from its budget.

Dozens of employees would lose their jobs at Southern Oregon University in the coming year, under a new proposal to cut more than $20 million.

A tenant advocacy group in Tacoma submitted a petition today [Tues] to put a ballot initiative before voters that aims to hold landlords more accountable.

The group Tacoma For All collected over 87-hundred signatures in support of its proposal.
