Jason and Ed talk about Ed's life and the perilous road he has traveled.  From his childhood to becoming a man, Ed has persevered in surviving addiction, thriving in sobriety, and now the masochistic nuttiness of Ultra Marathon running.

When I was dreaming up this podcast, doing a session with my cousin Evan Knapp, consistently went to the top-of my mind.  Evan has a gentle soul, is wildly creative, and just plain goofy.  Reality though, keeps  him fighting for his own peace.  It's easy to laugh with Evan while "going there" with our conversation as we talk about recovery, mental health, and overcoming adversity.  

Long-time friend, John Hartz went for an elk hunt in early 2021. This sessions covers the entire story. From his first inspiration, to stuffing the freezer with meat, John tells the exciting and reflective story.

John Goddu is a Lieutenant Paramedic for the Tacoma Fire Department, Crystal Mountain Ski Patrol member, one-time Rainier Mountain Guide, and rock musician during the grunge era. Most importantly, John is an incredible husband and Dad! I had a great time catching up with my neighbor and friend of 1 1/2 years.

My first podcast recording! No one better to try it out on than my dear brother, Toby. We talked about launching this podcast, how and why we follow-them, what the NW to him. We also reminisced about family trips taken riding in the back of our truck and memorializing our Mom. The recording is a bit choppy and I am a rookie at editing, but what a great feeling to finally get one out!
