  • Charlie Papazian Craft Beer Godfather talks Home Brew 101
Charles N. "Charlie" Papazian is an American nuclear engineer who founded the Association of Brewers and the Great American Beer Festival, and wrote The Complete Joy of Home Brewing. Papazian is the current president of the Brewers Association.
In 1984, Papazian wrote his first book on the subject of home brewing, titled The Complete Joy of Home Brewing. The book contained a forward by influential British beer writer Michael Jackson. As of August 2005, The Complete Joy of Home Brewing has seen 25 reprintings, 3 editions, and has sold over 900,000 copies. As the first American (and, for over a decade, the only) mass-market book to provide in-depth information on subject of how to brew beer in the home, The Complete Joy of Home Brewing was very often the sole source of home brewing information for novice home brewers in America. Consequently, the book has gained iconic status among America's home brewing community, who have referred to it as the "home brewer's bible." Papazian has since written five more books.

  • Mary Lambert WINS at VMA's with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
THEY WIN!!!! Talked to Mary as she was just hopping a plane to head to the VMA's, it was awesome!!
Mary Lambert is good at two things; crying and singing. Nowhere is this better reflected than on her debut EP ‘Letters Don’t Talk’ released in July of 2012. Burrowed away with her friends in the woods of Sequim, Washington recording with the production team of Dungeness, she spent 2 years finessing the heartbreaking collection of songs. In ‘Letters Don’t Talk’,
As a performer, Lambert exemplifies the traditions of a singer/songwriter while melding a background in spoken-word. With the powerful body-image poem “I Know Girls (Body Love)” going viral on youtube, Letters firmly established Mary as a formidable unsigned artist. This status was cemented when the lesbian singer-songwriter paired up with the multi-platinum and VMA nominated Macklemore and Ryan Lewis to help write and sing their revolutionary single, “Same Love”.  The track, an honoring of gay marriage, has led Mary to tour nationally with Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, and allowed her to reach millions by performing live on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, VH1, and The Colbert Report. “Same Love” has hit platinum in the US and is consistently rising in the charts, peaking at number 11 on Billboard.  It is no wonder that Mary has become one of the most talked about new artists.
Mary graduated from Cornish College of the Arts with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Composition. It was at Cornish that she honed her classical composition skills, including writing a full symphony piece for the Seattle Philharmonic Orchestra.

He has released several solo albums, music video albums, and collaborations with other artists such as pianist David Lanz, drummer Scott Rockenfield of Queensrÿche, Paul Lawler, and vocalist Satine Orient.  Paul Speer took up guitar at the age of nine and played his first paid gig at age twelve in a trio with brothers Neal and Gary.
