New York City based Nortonk explore the compatibilities of chordless compositions and free jazz. With a mathematical feel and precise energy, this foursome provides a different perspective on the tensions between improvisation and structured compositions.

 

Featuring David Adewumi on Trumpet, Gideon Forbes on Saxophone, Stephen Pale on Bass and Steven Crammer on Drums, from their February 9th, 2022 Northeast Ohio debut it’s Nortonk – Live at the Bop Stop.
