Nosedive

This episode, I shift my narrative three hundred miles north to my second home of Santa Cruz, where I talk one of my former professors, Caren Camblin, and look into and experience her guilty pleasure, the Hallmark Channel. In doing so, we talk about her podcast dedicated to her guilty pleasure and look into her other obsession of "book detectiving."

You can listen to her podcast “No Helmet Required,” on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, or wherever you get your podcasts. For more updates on this podcast, you can follow this podcast on Instagram at @nosedivepodcast.

This episode, I dig deep into my obsession with theater and the arts, looking at its current state in the public education system. In doing so, I sit down with colleagues of mine, currently entrenched in the arts from an educational standpoint, and look into how much it has impacted their individual lives and how it has inspired each of them to advocate for the arts.

Welcome to the podcast, where I, Ryan Loyola, take a plunge into the obsessions that captivate each one of us. You know the sort. The fascination that riveted you from the moment that you first learned about them. The one continues to tick at your brain until you can know every shred of information there is to learn about it. Join me as I go off the deep end in investigating the obsessions that continue to allure us, because it’s through our love and our appreciation for the trivial things in life, that we have the most innate voices to be heard and the most compelling stories to tell.
