    The Shining is a 1980 psychological horror film produced and directed by Stanley Kubrick and co-written with novelist Diane Johnson. It is based on Stephen King's 1977 novel and stars Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duvall, Danny Lloyd and Scatman Crothers. The film presents the descent into insanity of a recovering alcoholic and aspiring novelist who takes a job as winter caretaker for a mountain resort hotel with his wife and clairvoyant son.

    The Halloween Tree is a 1993 American animated fantasy-drama television film produced by Hanna-Barbera and based on Ray Bradbury's 1972 fantasy novel of the same name. The film tells the story of a group of trick-or-treating children who learn about the origins and influences of Halloween when one of their friends is spirited away by mysterious forces. Bradbury serves as the narrator of the film, which also stars Leonard Nimoy as the children's guide, Mr. Moundshroud. Bradbury also wrote the film's Emmy Award winning screenplay. The animation of the film was produced overseas for Hanna-Barbera by Fil-Cartoons in the Philippines. The film premiered on TBS and Syndication on October 30, 1993.

    All Dogs Go to Heaven is a 1989 animated musical fantasy comedy drama film directed by Don Bluth. It stars the voices of Loni Anderson, Judith Barsi (in her final film role), Dom DeLuise, Melba Moore, Charles Nelson Reilly, Burt Reynolds, and Vic Tayback. Set in New Orleans in 1939, it tells the story of Charlie B. Barkin, a German Shepherd mix who is murdered by his former friend, Carface Carruthers. Charlie escapes from Heaven to return to Earth, where his best friend, Itchy Itchiford, still lives, to take revenge on Carface. Instead, he befriends a young orphan girl named Anne-Marie. In the process, Charlie learns an important lesson about kindness, friendship, and love.

    Clue is a 1985 American comedy mystery film directed and written by Jonathan Lynn, who developed the story with John Landis. Based on the board game Cluedo (also known as Clue), the film stars Eileen Brennan, Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd, Michael McKean, Martin Mull, and Lesley Ann Warren. Set in 1954, the plot follows six strangers who gather at a secluded mansion where a series of murders unfolds, forcing the group to determine the identity of the killer among them.

    Animal Farm, also known as Animal Farm: A Cautionary Tail, is a 2025 American animated satirical black comedy film directed by Andy Serkis and written by Nicholas Stoller, loosely based on the 1945 novella by George Orwell. The film stars Seth Rogen, Gaten Matarazzo, Steve Buscemi, Glenn Close, Laverne Cox, Kieran Culkin, Woody Harrelson, Jim Parsons, Serkis, Kathleen Turner, and Iman Vellani. It is the third adaptation of the novella, following the 1954 animated film and the 1999 live-action film, with an alternative, coming-of-age plot that introduces new characters such as a piglet called Lucky, an original character who is also the main protagonist.

    Riding the Bus with My Sister is a 2005 television film that aired on CBS as part of the Hallmark Hall of Fame anthology series, based on the 2002 memoir of the same name by Rachel Simon. The film, like the book, is about the time Simon spent with her sister Beth, who has a developmental disability, and whose lifestyle revolves around riding buses in her home city of Reading, Pennsylvania. Andie MacDowell plays Rachel Simon, while Rosie O'Donnell plays Beth. It was directed by Anjelica Huston, with a screenplay by Joyce Eliason.

    Hellboy is a 2004 American superhero film based on the Dark Horse Comics
    character, created by Mike Mignola. Written and directed by Guillermo
    del Toro, it is the first live-action film in the Hellboy franchise. Ron
    Perlman stars as the titular character, alongside Selma Blair, Jeffrey
    Tambor, Karel Roden, Rupert Evans, and John Hurt. The film draws
    inspiration from the debut comic Hellboy: Seed of Destruction. In the
    film, a charismatic demon-turned-investigator named "Hellboy" works with
    the secretive Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense to suppress
    paranormal threats, when a resurrected sorcerer seeks to make Hellboy
    fulfill his destiny by triggering the apocalypse.
