For the first time, Not A Perfect Christian has a face. After ten episodes of only hearing my voice, I decided it was finally time to sit in front of the camera and let you see the person behind the microphone.

And I couldn't have picked a more meaningful episode to start.

After everything that happened in San Francisco, I was still healing, still carrying disappointment, and still trying to understand what God was teaching me. Then I walked into church and unexpectedly saw John Bevere as the guest speaker—the same person whose Guard Your Heart message I had talked about just a few episodes ago.

I opened my notebook and started taking notes.

But somewhere during the message, I realized God wasn't just giving me something to write down.

He was challenging the way I live.

Do I simply believe Jesus is coming back—or am I actually living like I believe it?

This episode is about waiting, faithfulness, priorities, and preparing our hearts for eternity while still enjoying the life God has given us.

I'm still healing.
I'm still learning.
I'm still figuring it out.

But maybe that's the point.

I don't want Jesus to find a perfect Christian. I just want Him to find a faithful one.

Episode 10 — Broken Plans, Still Faithful

Ten episodes.

When I started Not A Perfect Christian, I never imagined that the tenth episode would be the most personal and difficult story I had shared.

I spent months preparing for my first full marathon and planning what I believed would be one of the happiest trips of my life. Instead, I arrived in San Francisco with an injured knee, deferred the race until next year, experienced painful misunderstandings, and came home with a heart that was still trying to process everything.

This special milestone episode is about more than a marathon or a road trip. It is about grieving the future we imagined, learning to release the plans we cannot control, and choosing to trust God while we are still hurting.

I did not come home with a medal.

I came home with a lesson:

Our plans can fail, our bodies can fail, and relationships can become uncertain—but God’s faithfulness never fails.

Thank you for walking with me through the first ten episodes of this journey. I am still learning, still healing, and still figuring it out—but I am grateful that God has remained faithful through every chapter.

Behind the smiles, work, school, marathon training, and everyday life, I found myself quietly battling overthinking, loneliness, and questions about the future. Then God led me to Numbers 21, where one simple command changed the way I saw everything:

Look and live.

In this episode, I share how God reminded me that it's easy to become so focused on our fears, goals, and unanswered questions that we forget His faithfulness. Maybe peace isn't found when every problem disappears. Maybe it begins when we lift our eyes back to Jesus.

This week, God taught me something I didn't expect.

After my mom asked why I would spend money to run a marathon, I started asking myself a deeper question: Why do I keep chasing dreams?

Between a 72-hour work week, exams, tennis, marathon training, and reflecting on several moments when I almost lost my life, I realized that every day is a gift from God.
