Love this author!
Another excellent story By Heather Guldenkauf! I had the honor of hearing and meeting Ms Guldenkauf when she spoke at a fundraiser in East Moline, IL. She talked about how she came up with ideas for her novels. She also was able to answer several questions from her audience. I have now read 5 of her novels and I'm not finished. She'll put you on the edge of your seat with this one. Be prepared not to want to put it down!!
Page Turning Read
I enjoyed this thriller that was recommended in a Washington Post article this spring. Gudenkauf takes the reader aptly into a world of the recently deaf as the main character pieces together the central mystery. There are several "don't go down to the basement" scenes that keep those pages turning. I'll be recommending this one to my book club.
Good story and suspense!
I loved this book...couldnât put it down! I love Heather Gudenkaufâs way of describing scenes....I always feel Iâm right in the story as an unseen observer. Now Iâm bummed that I read it so fast and itâs over!
Bringing light to deafness
Amazing story & very eye opening. Gudenkauf never disappoints! Her stories are creative, suspenseful & touch on important social issues. I recommend all her books.

Really enjoyed this story - thrilling mystery and good info on medical treatments. Main character was so strong and like able. Good story.
