What you can learn from this episode:
- Unhealthy bonds can have a damaging effect on us for years and years
- It's not about what you want, but what you need
- Sometimes we’re not mature enough to deal with certain things at a certain time and when we’ve built that maturity then those lessons will come back up for us to finally deal with it even though you may feel you’re so past it.
Note to anyone listening who might be going through a tough time:
I pray that after you go through a place of healing, that you no longer have to go back and relive that trauma. I hope you’ve truly unpacked every part of it so it doesn't rise up again in the future. But if it ever does, I pray you have the strength to know that you’ve fought through this once before and you can fight through it again and you’ll come out of this much better than you entered.
