For the very first episode, I figured we should probably start with the basics: who the heck am I, and why did I think starting a podcast about books was a good idea? 😂

I’m Amber, a mom, a chaotic reader, a book lover, and someone who apparently has way too many thoughts about the books I read. If you’ve ever stayed up way too late because you had to know what happened next, emotionally recovered from fictional characters like they personally betrayed you, or added another book to your TBR while actively reading three others… you’re probably in the right place.

In this episode, I’m introducing myself, talking about my reading life, and sharing what you can expect from Not Another Novel Podcast.

We’ll talk about books I’m loving, books I’m anticipating, upcoming releases, ARCs, BookTok favorites, books that emotionally destroyed me, books that absolutely did not live up to the hype, and probably a healthy amount of screaming about fictional people.

I’ll also be taking you along for the journey of writing my own debut novel, because apparently reading hundreds of books eventually convinced me that writing one was a reasonable idea. 😅
