The Libertadores final is here after a long long wait since the semi-final.  Over 14 games have been played by both Palmeiras and Flamengo since then but finally the one that really matters is here.  Another all Brazil final, the two most recent champions meet to decide who is the strongest side in South America.......so let the games begin [after Dave and Ollie have previewed the final]

David and Ollie look back at the Libertadores semi-final second legs, rue not putting their mortgages on the two finalists and talk briefly about the road ahead.  Renato Gaucho hits his record setting 50 win mark as a manager on the road to Gloria Eterna, while the Green Giant gets the chance to defend their crown. 

South American football never sounded so good!

Dave and Ollie reflected on the 1st legs of the two CONMEBOL Libertadores semi-finals.

There was a tactical breakdown of Palmeiras 0-0 Atletico Mineiro, we discussed Hulk’s penalty, the Green Giant’s poor form and could Diego Costa’s injury be a blessing in disguise…

Flamengo have a two-goal lead leaving Barcelona needing a minor miracle, in Guayaquil.

David and Ollie discuss the up coming semi finals as Barcelona meet Flamengo and Atl. Mineiro and Palmeiras square off in the a all Brazil affair.  Do the Ecuadorian's have a chance against the 2019 champions?  Will Palmeiras get a chance to defend their Libertadores title.   The biggest football competition in South America returns this week.

The semi-finals of the Copa Libertadores are set and there's plenty of football to talk from the second legs of the final eight. Flamengo and Gabigol were emphatic but have Atletico Mineiro impressed more with Hulk and Zaracho?  Can Ecuador's Barcelona be the thorn in the Brazil clubs' side and has Raphael Veiga's return to the Palmeiras lineup been timed to perfection.  

Ollie and Dave discussed the quarterfinal 1st legs as we reach the sharp end of the 2021 CONMEBOL Libertadores. 

Fluid Flamengo march on, River are left needing another Gallardo Houdini act, the Sao Paulo boys are poised at 1-1 & Barcelona will be banking on home form to see them through to the final four.

The Round of 16 in the Copa Libertadores finished with a fight and a flurry as Boca Juniors threw fists after their loss to Atl. Miniero in Brazil as South American football lived up to its stereotypes in the worst way.  Once the tear gas had cleared the other Brazilian sides of Flamengo, Palmeiras and Sao Paulo toppled all in front of them to leave jsut on club from Argentina remaining in the competition [River Plate], while Ecuador's footballing success lies with only with Barcelona going into Quarterfinals. 

Seven of the Eight games ties were wrapped up and Dave and Ollie talk about them all on the only show covering the grandest soccer tournament in South America. 

The Copa Libertadores kicked off its knockout stage this week and South America's premier club tournament didn't quite erupt into action.  Maybe the Copa America has drained the legs, maybe in Brazil they're just playing too much football [is that possible?] or maybe we just had a quiet week.  Either way, Dave and Ollie talk about all the action from the week just gone as the elite on the continent look to book a place in the final eight of the competition.

Italy vs England & Argentina vs Brazil? Naaaah...

We previewed the R16 1st leg clashes, Borre's departure, the favourites, the underdogs and the possibility of a Boca/River quarter-final.
