Some people don't want you to heal because broken people serve their needs better because you can manipulate them easier. They also don't want you to become strong enough to be better than them or find pleasure in seeing you in pain because it makes them seem stronger. I have 5 tips on how to not let these things hinder our emotional healing & self-development.
Show Notes:
There will be some people that try to convince you to constantly try new ways of healing yourself all the time because they know if you don’t stick to something long enough, you won’t end up healing.
Or there will be others that will convince you you’re fine & don’t need help. They will say that therapy is a waste & won’t do anything for you & maybe suggest that you just ‘hang in there a little longer because that will somehow fix everything. They view you in a different lens because it caters to them better to have you broken than healthy. Broken people serve other people’s needs better because you can manipulate them easier.
When you’re not strong enough, you can be led into toxic relationships & convinced you need to work harder at terrible jobs, and abused because it’s explained as something normal, then tossed away because you’re told you deserve it.
But I know we can all become strong enough to see this abusive & selfish behavior for what it is & break free from it. We can understand that these people that don’t want us to heal are only preventing us from doing so because it makes their lives easier.
Another reason not everyone wants you to heal is because you’re easier to step on & over when you’re in pain & needing help. It’s easier to take advantage of you & your situation for their gain.
But what we need to realize is that our healing only has to do with us. We need to not let others get in our way of healing either. Healing is a journey about ourselves & what changes we want & need to make. It’s mostly a solo project that has helpful visitors.
And healing can be seen in so many different ways & different amounts. Your healing from the same thing as someone else could take less time or more time. But how long it takes or how hard it is or whether it’s the same as someone else you know doesn’t matter. Comparing your healing to someone else will only keep you down & maybe cause you to give up. And if you give up, you’ll never know how much better you could be if you kept going.
It isn’t your concern whether or not someone doesn’t want you to heal or celebrate the progress you’re currently making. You need to keep your focus on yourself & do the work that needs to be done to become your best self.
I want to share with you 5 tips on how to stay focused on yourself when you’re working on your self-development & not get distracted by what other people are saying or trying to convince you to do:
