Hello and welcome to Episode 29 Season 2! In this episode we celebrate our Q1 2025 Wins and Recognizing some of the challenges we encountered and lessons we learnt along the way.In this episode, I explore the emotional landscape of anxiety, frustration, and disappointment—three familiar but often misunderstood feelings that many of us quietly wrestle with.
We begin with anxiety—that overwhelming swirl of thoughts and sensations rooted in uncertainty and fear. It's more than worry; it's the feeling of being pulled out of the present and into imagined outcomes. I share a resource that has helped me hold anxiety with more curiosity than fear.
Next, we journey into frustration—a charged, sometimes explosive emotion that can arise when our expectations clash with reality. I speak candidly about how I’ve learned to acknowledge the feeling first—before it mutates into resentment or is misdirected at others.
I also touch on the reality of trauma dumping—how unprocessed pain can leak out as frustration and hurt those around us. Healing requires intention. Without putting in the inner work, we risk repeating cycles and placing emotional weight on people who did not cause our wounds. This part of the episode is a reminder that emotional accountability is part of care.
Then we meet disappointment—a quieter, heavy sadness that comes when hope isn't met with fulfillment. It doesn’t always scream, but it lingers. I reflect on how disappointment teaches us about our desires, and how to manage expectations while still keeping our hearts open.
Throughout the episode, I emphasize that emotions are not who we are—they are what we experience. They are messengers. They signal what needs attention, what’s been avoided, and where we’re invited to grow. But they are not the whole truth of who we are.
This space is a soft place to explore these complex emotions without shame. To feel them, learn from them, and choose healthier ways to respond. Because healing is not just about feeling better—it's about becoming better for ourselves and the people we love.
