For the first time, I’m opening up about how I got polio, the moment that changed everything before I even knew what life was. It’s a truth I’ve carried quietly my whole life, but one that taught me what forgiveness really looks like when it doesn’t make sense.

I pray my story helps anyone who’s still healing from past hurt to see that peace doesn’t always come from understanding why, but from trusting the One who makes all things right in His time.

In this very first episode of Not Made to Fit, I open up about the darkness I walked through over the past five years. Depression, addiction, loss, and fading dreams marked that season, but Jesus pulled me out of it. More than just my story, this is the gospel in action: His power to take what feels broken and use it to bring freedom and hope to others.

This is just the introduction. In upcoming episodes, I will share more of my journey. From surviving polio as a child and living with its effects, to childhood experiences, and the story behind my voice.

This short visual prologue is the heart behind Not Made to Fit. Inspired by a dream where Jesus placed sandals in my hands, it's a reminder that we are equipped to walk in His calling (Ephesians 6:15).

This podcast was never in my plans. But after walking through loss, depression, addiction, and the silence of losing my voice, Jesus rewrote my story. For five long years, I battled a drinking problem and carried a crushing weight that I thought would kill me. I truly believed I'd never come back from it. But in the middle of that darkness, Jesus pulled me out and gave me new life.

Before the episodes begin, I want you to see where this journey truly starts. This intro is more than a beginning. It's the testimony of how Jesus has carried me, not only through those five years of refining, but through my whole life since saving me from polio. 

The animated prologue itself was also a labor of love. I created it entirely from start to finish, writing and designing each scene in LTX Studios. My depiction of Jesus was inspired by Akiane Kramarik’s world-renowned painting Prince of Peace, and bringing Him to life in motion took hours of careful writing, editing, and direction. The audio portion including the FX, layering, and music was also built by me. I gained these skills through my schooling in audio production, and every sound you hear was crafted to carry the heart of the story.

This intro is not only my testimony but also my creation, shaped by faith, refined by trial, and offered as the beginning of Not Made to Fit. Thank you for being here. I pray this space reminds you that you're not alone and that His grace is more than enough.
