The party heads to the palace tree early in the morning to announce their arrival in the capital. They're granted an audience first with Trellis, the first minister of the elven nation before getting to have an audience with the king. Tensions are high as the border situation gets discussed. And they get an answer to the question of if Trellis is a War Maker.

Velilkin E'sum, a member of the Aza Foqal, or Disciples of Akena, is tasked with finding out who these strangers are that mysteriously appeared in the capital that morning. Pursuing leads and getting caught up in Chase's misdirection, Vel eventually finds the party at the Copper Wagon. Behind closed doors, the party and Vel come to understand they're somewhat working towards a common goal in opposing the War Makers. Vel seals the deal by having his superior agree to the plan. The party plans to formally introduce themselves to the elven monarchy the next day.

The party with their new elf allies teleport into the elven capital. The party secures lodging and then begins to get an idea about the city they find themselves. The party even splits up! Connections are made and knowledge gleaned.

The party with their wolf guard escorts continue on their trek to the elf capital. As evening begins, they find themselves at a small village and stay the night at the Guardian Swan Inn. While inside they learn more from their elf escorts. They make allies and develop a plan for the next day to speed along their travel.

The party departs the legion's camp with a wolf squad escort. Jade learns about Kharisa the leader of the squad and her wolf. After a long day of riding in the cold, the travelers make camp. During watches, the party learns about the wolf squad, the mission of the border legion, and some discomfort that the soldiers are having.
