It is highly possible that many of you haven't heard of Billie Holiday. Known as "Lady Day" to close friends and family alike, Billie Holiday's intensely impactful career as a jazz musician spanned several decades and absolutely changed the face of music. Her name graces the walls of the Grammy Hall of Fame as well as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Her incredible voice and style continue to impact fans through the ages. Her songs like "Strange Fruit" still speak to societal issues today and show how brave a woman could be in bringing attention to the big issues.

Join me this week as I dive into the life and career of Lady Day - we'll talk about her childhood, growing up with jazz and blues in Baltimore as well as singing in clubs in Harlem as a teenager. Whether you are a tried and true fan or are just hearing her name, come with me as we learn more about this phenomenal musician and spectacular woman.

We'll discuss King Arthur, the vast collection of literature associated with him, the plot of this book that has many different intricacies, and even dabble in some issues of genre.
