Not that I would change a thing, but there are several things I would tell myself before I had my first child almost 5 years ago. I am a completely different person in a million ways. I asked on my Instagram stories what all of you would say to prekid you and there were some amazing answers. Thanks for being here. Love you, mean it.

Today on the soap box is stemming from a facebook post that I have seen circulating like crazy. It was about shifting perspective from being annoyed by something to being appreciative you have the ability to be annoyed by it. While I am all for it, I think it is frustrating because I can be so grateful for the ability to have food for our family, but still not want to do the dishes. Duality is a human emotional right and allows us to feel multiple things at one time. That is the soap box of the week and I hope you love it. Love you, mean it.

Gender disappointment is a topic that warrants a lot of feelings. 5 years after experiencing my own gender disappointment (I hate the word disappointment tied in to this because it seems so harsh for a slight emotional upset), we are talking all things gender stereotypes & my husband even weighs in on the topic. Thanks for being here, love you mean it.

One of my most commonly asked questions in my last advice episode was "how do i find myself again?" and while I wish I could give you a step by step, I can only speak for myself and those I know personally. So today, we are talking self discovery, giving yourself time and patience, and questions you may want to ask yourself if you are stuck wondering who you are now. As always thank you for being here and listening to me ramble. I hope to inspire and get the gears going in your head while maybe telling you something you haven't ever heard before. Love you, mean it.

This week we're doing a good old Q&A, my favorite to record. We are talking about my favorite podcasts, sleep training, missing the midwest, and how to find yourself after having kids. Theres a lot to unpack & a lot of them were Sparknotes versions of answers because this would've been an hour long. Thanks for being here, love you mean it.

Today we are talking therapies for kids. My daughter recently graduated occupational therapy after being in it for 2 years, along with speech for 15 months of that time. Even with sharing very little of my kids online, I still find it important to try to help destigmatize and advocate for those who need some extra help. It does not mean you are a bad parent or your child's delay is your fault. Getting help means you care enough to swallow your pride and prioritize your child's wellbeing above your own comfort in solidarity.
Im so proud of how far she has come, I truly cannot believe we are at the point of being finished. In some moments, I thought it would last forever. Thank you for always being so kind and loving to me and mine.

Today were talking about something very near and dear to my heart. One of my best friends passed away earlier this year from vasculitis, she had no clue that it would take her life. I have not been in the space to talk about her much over the last 5 months in fear that if i talk about it, its real. But unfortunately it is real. I love her like a sister & a part of me will be missing forever because of this. She was uncontrollably funny, kind beyond measure, and lived her life with the idea that every single person mattered no more or less than others. Ill be trying to live like Tatum for the rest of my life in honor of her and in hopes all the people she undoubtably would have touched, I can make a dent. If you'd like to learn more about vasculitis and read her parents interview they did, i will have it linked below. Hold your friends tightly, make every moment fun & live life to the fullest you can for Tatum. Thanks for listening to me talk about her, I think this is the most I have in one sitting in a while. Love you, mean it.

Today were talking body neutrality, my struggles with my body, and how I started my journey to neutrality. This is kind of a heavier topic and I will never pretend to hold all of the answers, but as usual, I hope this gave you something to think about if you are struggling too.
