Sometimes a message finds you exactly when you need it.
In Part 2 of Stop Doubting Yourself, Shannon opens up about one of the hardest chapters of her life, losing her mother, the grief that followed, and what it feels like to keep living when somebody you love is no longer here.
Then something happens.
Shannon hears Mel Robbins talking with Olympic champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, and suddenly she hears the words that have become the heartbeat of this podcast:
“It’s never too late.”
Shelly-Ann talks about people saying she was too old. About becoming a mother and coming back to win a world championship. About becoming the oldest world champion in her event at 35. About refusing to let somebody else’s clock determine what was still possible for her.
And Shannon couldn’t ignore the connection.
Because isn’t that what Not Too Late has been about from the beginning?
Going back to school when somebody thinks you should already have life figured out.
Starting again after loss.
Living with anxiety and still showing up.
Grieving somebody you love while discovering there is still life left for you.
And realizing that maybe the clock you’ve been afraid of… isn’t counting you out at all.
Shelly-Ann said, “Time will honor your greatness.” She reminded us that your age is not the finish line, and the only dream guaranteed not to happen is the one you never start.
For Shannon, hearing those words felt bigger than coincidence.
Maybe you’ve been seeing signs too.
Maybe something keeps reminding you of the dream you buried, the life you wanted, or the woman you thought you waited too long to become.
Listen.
Your story didn't end because something painful happened.
You’re still here, still becoming and maybe that means there’s still time.
