In this episode, I share about my early life, from my birth in Alabama to when I left for college at 17. I talk about what it was like to feel as though I had lost my identity after my parents' divorce and what it meant to find my true identity in Christ. I finish up by discussing the role forgiveness has played in helping me learn to live a truly victorious life.

Welcome to the first episode of the Not What I Signed Up For podcast! 

Today, I want to briefly share part of my story and walk through some of the experiences that led me where I am today. You'll hear about the picture-perfect life I dreamed up as a child and how I eventually came to see that none of the things I had put my hope in to create that perfect life were able to give me what I really needed. My life definitely does not look like the fairytale I had hoped for, but I can honestly say I wouldn't want it any other way.
