In December 2020, multiple publications declared that Switzerland - a central European country known for its neutrality and for being a home base to the United Nations - had just legalised same-sex marriage. 

People were left disappointed as to this day, same-sex marriage is still illegal in Switzerland.

But where did that confusion come from?

Here I give you the context, the hows and whats, and when same-sex marriage can actually be expected to become legal in the land of watches and chocolate.
