He founded the Turkish History society April 15, 1931, the Turkish Language Society July 12, 1932.Under his presidency, on December 8, 1934, women became eligible to vote in parliamentary elections, and to become members of the Parliament.

She would become a supporter of Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton, joining their cause in campaigning for women’s the right to vote.
