Unlike most cases, the end of the criminal prosecution of Karen Read did not end the story of Karen Read. Ms. Read finds herself named both as a defendant in a wrongful death action filed by her former partner John O'Keefe's family, as well as the Plaintiff in a civil action against the police and civilian witnesses.

Attorney Katherine Loftus discusses what has led up to this point, what the status of the two cases is, and what the aftermath of the trial and Free Karen Read movement looks like - dueling fundraising pages and all.
