The Blues come out and dominate a tired Senators team who had their backup goalie in. This was always going to be a game where the Blues needed to get a W in the situation. But doing so emphatically was something this Blues team and fans can take some confidence in. The McDouble line is clicking, Buch is back, Neighbours is heating up, the 4th line is chipping in and the D Core hasn't looked this good in a very long time. The Blues showed some grit and determination after falling behind 0-2 to CBJ early in the game. But then Ross Johnston started chucking hands, Jake Neighbours pots one, Snuggerud wakes up the first line and Berggren's hard work pays off in a GWG. We're also continuing to see terrific penalty kills and solid efforts on the 5-6 situation. The Blues go down in horrendous fashion to a Celebriniless Sharks in OT. The Macattack continues to shine. Depth pieces are chipping in. First line is absent. They have to get going if this team wants a shot on playoff contention. That's all.

Today we talk about the tragic loss to the Blackhawks. In a night that saw a huge momentum swing - not by any play on the ice, but rather a call off the ice when McMichael's goal was called back, the Blues couldn't overcome the adversity and gave up 2 quick goals in the second and were skating uphill since. We're seeing some strong displays from Parayko, McTavish and McMichael, but the sense of urgency wasn't there until it was too late. Seems like a story we've seen unfold many times. The Blues predictably go down to the Avs in a horrendous back to back to start the season. Weren't many highlights from this game. We got out classed in almost every facet of the game. Dvorsky did pot his second of the season in what looks like a confidence builder for the kid and we know that depth scoring is something this team sorely needs. That said, the Avalanche are just a much better team at this point and we have some work to do to get on their level. The PK looks strong, but the PP still struggles. Jake and Brendan hop over the boards to bring you a recap from Game 1 against Dallas. Do we owe this team a massive apology? Yes, yes we do. The boys came out of the gates buzzing, taking down the Dallas Stars 4-0 in their own barn. It was a great start for a team that didn't look great in preseason. With the regular season commencing, all that is put in the past with newcomers getting on the board early and some very strong signals that this team could be tough to play against. The boys join in to talk about the end of preseason camp and the start of the 26-27 season. We talk about preseason team predictions, player stocks we're buying or selling, and breakout or bust candidates.
