In this candid and reflective episode of Notes on Living, I share an honest update on where I am after two weeks away from social media. This break has led me to a deeper understanding of the cycle of burnout I’ve been stuck in for years—ever since leaving my corporate job, launching my mindset business, and creating Notes on Living. I’ve been moving from one pursuit to the next without ever giving myself permission to truly rest and recover.
I open up about the guilt I've carried around leaving my job, pausing my mindset business, and not always being “productive” in the conventional sense. But I’m beginning to see that there is more to a meaningful life than a high-powered career or a constant push for achievement. I’m choosing to focus on what truly matters—pouring into my relationships, creating a peaceful home, and actively raising my kids.
I also dive into my relationship with weed and how I’m working to separate who I am from the habit that has become a crutch. This is part of a broader shift I’m making—reorganizing the different “parts” of myself. I’m demoting the voices of my Comfort Seeker and Inner Judge and instead, promoting my Mentor and Decider to lead the way.
Finally, I share my decision to move away from a strict podcast schedule. Rather than releasing an episode every two weeks, I will only publish when I feel genuinely inspired, passionate, and excited about what I have to share. This approach will allow me to focus on quality, authenticity, and meaningful conversations.
Tune in for a raw, honest look at how I’m navigating this season of rest, healing, and self-discovery.
