Today, we are joined by my son, Isaiah. Hear from him what it's been like hearing the journal entries for the first time. Come sit with us for a candid talk and hear directly from him how he processes his birth story. Truth be told, my fear and shame told me his response would be so much harsher and I believed it. Sometimes we just have to do things afraid because I'm convinced it's the only way to realize the lies we hang onto. Living in the truth of my past brings so much freedom 😊
The day has come where we reach the last journal entry from, "The Secrets That Lie Within". The past twelve weeks have been a journey that uncovered roads I didn't realize I was still traveling on. I am growing aware of the uphill, winding road of guilt that has no end unless I get off. I have confronted areas and accepted that I still have growing to do. Here's to not denying where I've been and a commitment to not go back. <<>>

Our first journal entry in The Secrets That Lie Within, AFTER my son is born! Honestly this one hits different. Lies. Deception. Manipulation. Abuse. Betrayal. Defiling yourself is a type of low that no one wants to admit...but here we are. And somehow we get on the topic about body image and what our culture teaches us.
If you are facing an unplanned pregnancy- there is HOPE
Back to reading the next journal entry in The Secrets That Lie Within, except somehow my current grief and looking back keep colliding. Here's to a little rambling, and gaining more self-awareness in parenting.
This journal entry has brought an unlikely commonality of wondering "what if". Hang tight as I navigate joy in the midst of uncertainty, and confront my emotions. If you are grieving, remember to be present with yourself, extend lots of grace, and the room to feel. Healing is not linear.
Coping through my grief with carbs and chocolate because apparently fighting is unacceptable. Unpacking luggage you didn't pack has a surprise element that no one asked for. Also, this is a roller coaster.
If you are GF and even if you're not go check them out!
Instead of looking back, today we will sit in the present moment. 12.26.54 - 03.27.23 🌻
We go back to the familiar believing it is the safer option because we have experienced it before. So when dysfunctional relationships have been our familiar it becomes our 'normal'. Therefore, we reject the unfamiliar because it seems scarier. Only now do I see I was behaving habitually because it was what felt normal.

As we continue turning the pages in the journal, "What Lies Within" we expose more guilt and more desperation. And we see a root pop its head out.... insecurities. When we don't see ourselves with potential, with love, and with grace we become our worse enemy.
