After doing some research into publishing, contracts and things of that nature, Ace said he finally “woke up” and now has a better understanding of the industry he’s attempting to conquer.

Ace also explained what winning in the music business looks like to him, noting that it will come in the form of recognition and peace, which has been disrupted by a series of setbacks and tragedy.

“Growing up, ain’t really too much being really happy, and I’m talking about happy — I don’t have to worry about nothing without a care,” he explained. “I ain’t got to worry about the landlord keep knocking on a nigga door about the rent, telling you, you two months late. I want my momma real happy and at peace. I want a happy relationship, a happy family. That’s really just what I want. I just want to be real successful — I want some Grammys. I want all that.”

At long last, Kendrick Lamar has released his new album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, his final album for Top Dawg Entertainment. Lamar officially announcedthe record last month with a link to his Oklama website, which revealed the LP title and release date. The album is split into two volumes of nine tracks; it features a string of notable collaborators, such as Portishead’s Beth Gibbons, Summer Walker, Ghostface Killah, Thundercat, Baby Keem, Sampha, and others.

This August, Youngboy Never Broke Again (or NBA YoungBoy) will unveil his fourth studio LP The Last Slimeto, which will feature past drops like “Don’t Rate Me” with Quavo, “Wagwan,” “Ghost,” “Mr. Grim Reaper,” “I Hate YoungBoy,” and “Loner Life.” Yesterday (May 23), the Baton Rouge star dropped off a new track titled “Proud Of Myself,” a Khris James, Young Kim J, and Bans-produced offering that sees YoungBoy reflecting on how far he’s come and how much he’s achieved in his young life

The Last Slimeto will follow last January’s Colors, which came with 19 songs and a single feature from Quando Rondo. That project peaked at the number two spot on the Billboard 200 with 79,000 album equivalent units sold during the first week of its release. As reported by various outlets, Slimeto will also be Youngboy’s final album under Atlantic Records— the rapper reportedly turned down a $25 million offer to re-sign with the label.

Apex Legends Mobile Was The Most Downloaded iOS Game In 60 Countries Last Week

Respawn Entertainment's first foray into the world of mobile gaming has exceeded expectations--and now it's breaking records.

According to a recent report by PocketGamer, the mobile version of Respawn's popular battle royale, Apex Legends, has become the most-downloaded iOS game in 60 countries in the six days since its May 17 launch. Those countries include the US, the UK, Japan, Germany, India, and more. Apex Legends Mobile is also in the top 10 most-downloaded games in the App Store in 89 countries.

Just days after the announcement that the original version of the game had surpassed $2 billion in revenue in the three years since its release, the mobile version of Apex Legends has unseated long-time mobile gaming juggernauts like the highly-popular Battlegrounds Mobile India, taking their spots at the top of the mobile gaming food chain. The game's popularity isn't surprising, as the console/PC version of the game has enjoyed sustained popularity since its release in February 2019. But the speed with which it has amassed its enormous playerbase is quite impressive. By launch day, over 15 million players had pre-registered for the game, in part due to Respawn Entertainment's pre-launch promotion, which advertised a series of prizes that would be unlocked for each pre-registered player, with rewards based on the total number of players who had pre-registered by launch day.

Kendrick Lamar’s long awaited return was received well by his fans and the masses as he sold over 286 thousand copies first week, making it the highest selling album of the year, to date. The album consisted of 11 features across 18 tracks including artists such as Summer Walker, Kodak Black, Baby Keem, Sampha and more. This is Kendrick’s 5th studio album & we believe this album will age just as great as his previous projects - timeless.

The album was able to sell 286,373 units first week with over 250,000 coming from streams and over 35,000 pure album sales. Kendrick definitely came different on this album and delivered in every aspect, from beat selection to samples, to features & vocals and his overall delivery put into this project was truly incredible.

Kendrick’s music video for N95 has already accumulated over 15 million views since the release and it will accumulate hundreds of millions of views over time.

Harry Styles is home, and he’s giving fans a tour of it.

On Friday, the former One Direction crooner and now-Grammy winner shared his third studio album, Harry’s House, featuring 13 tracks—12 of which are brand new. After already releasing Billboard Hot 100 topper “As It Was” and breaking some streaming records in the process, Styles’ latest effort now gives the lead single a home of its own just two years after the release of his sophomore LP, Fine Line.

Appropriately, Styles revealed the importance of the album in an April interview withBetter Homes and Gardens, telling writer Lou Stoppard that he’s past the point of being concerned if this one is a commercial success anymore.

“I just want to make stuff that is right, that is fun, in terms of the process, that I can be proud of for a long time, that my friends can be proud of, that my family can be proud of, that my kids will be proud of one day,” he shared.

But, as it looks, Harry’s House is poised to once again top the charts, as HITS Daily Double is projecting incredible first-week numbers from Styles, who is expected to crack between 400,000 and 450,000 in week 1 alone. This would beat out Kendrick Lamar’s expected first-week numbers for Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers to hold the title of best first week of 2022 so far.

“I realized that that home feeling isn’t something that you get from a house; it’s more of an internal thing. You realize that when you stop for a minute,” Styles told BH&G of his album title.
