Notre Dame football is making a key move on the defensive side of the ball as Len Clark reports.

The Fighting Irish are expected to hire Aaron Henry as defensive backs coach and co-defensive coordinator. Henry most recently led the defense at Illinois and brings extensive Power Five experience, with a strong track record developing defensive backs. He replaces Mike Mickens, who left for the NFL, and reunites with defensive coordinator Chris Ash as Notre Dame continues preparations for the 2026 football season. Len Clark, Network Indiana.
