Boston College defeated Notre Dame 77–69, using a major free-throw advantage to take control in the second half. The Eagles attempted 41 free throws, compared with 21 for the Irish, helping Boston College outscore Notre Dame 47–36 after halftime. The Irish are 13-17, 4-13 in the ACC, and need a win over the Eagles, then a Pitt loss at Syracuse, to snag the 15th and final ACC Tournament spot. Stanford’s shooting touch proved too much for Notre Dame Wednesday night, as Len Clark reports.

Stanford shot nearly 57 percent from the field and defeated Notre Dame 86–78.. Ebuka Okorie led the Cardinal with 24 points and seven assists while Jaylen Dent-Smith added 21. The Irish were paced by Jalen Haralson with 19 points and Cole Certa with 17. Stanford connected on 12 three-pointers as the Cardinal controlled the offensive rhythm. College football has lost one of its most recognizable voices and leaders. Len Clark reports.

Hall of Fame coach Lou Holtz has died at the age of 89. Holtz guided Notre Dame to the 1988 national championship, finishing a perfect 12-and-0 season and restoring the Irish to national prominence. Over a career spanning six programs, he compiled 249 wins and later became a familiar analyst on ESPN’s college football coverage. Holtz coached the Irish from 1986 through 1996, winning 100 games in South Bend. Len Clark, Network Indiana.

Defense was key as Notre Dame beat Louisville 65–62 Sunday at the Yum Center. The Irish held the Cardinals without a field goal over the final four-fifty-nine, closing the game with rebounds and free throws. Hannah Hidalgo had 30 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists as Notre Dame secured a composed ACC road win. The Irish enter the ACC Tournament at 20–9, finishing 12–6 in league play. Notre Dame used clutch shooting in overtime to beat NC State. Len Clark reports.

Notre Dame improved to 13–16 overall and 4–12 in the ACC with a 96–90 overtime win over NC State on Saturday. The Irish made the difference from the perimeter, hitting 12 threes and going 3-for-4 from deep in overtime, outscoring the Wolfpack 15–9 in the extra session. The decisive stretch came in the final two-and-a-half minutes, when the Orange failed to make a field goal and Notre Dame closed on a 10–0 run. Hanna Hidalgo led Notre Dame with 27 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists, controlling the game on both ends. Notre Dame outscored Syracuse 23–14 in the fourth quarter to help secure the win.
