The Fighting Irish pulled away late to beat Syracuse 72–62 Thursday night. The decisive stretch came in the final two-and-a-half minutes, when the Orange failed to make a field goal and Notre Dame closed on a 10–0 run. Hanna Hidalgo led Notre Dame with 27 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists, controlling the game on both ends. Notre Dame outscored Syracuse 23–14 in the fourth quarter to help secure the win.
