Notre Dame is losing a key member of its defensive staff to the NFL. Len Clark has more.

Notre Dame defensive backs coach Mike Mickens is headed to the NFL. Mickens is leaving South Bend to join the Baltimore Ravens’ coaching staff, ending a successful run developing the Irish secondary. Mickens spent several seasons at Notre Dame and was widely credited with player development and recruiting in the defensive backfield. Under his guidance, Notre Dame produced multiple NFL draft picks and consistently ranked among the nation’s top pass defenses. The move gives Mickens his first opportunity at the professional level.
