Aggies quarterback Marcel Reed found tight end Nate Boerkircher for an 11-yard touchdown with 13 seconds left to tie the game, and kicker Randy Bond added the decisive extra point — giving Texas A&M a 41–40 victory. The Irish had taken a late lead on a Jeremiyah Love rushing touchdown with 2:53 remaining, but a bobbled snap on the extra point proved costly. Notre Dame falls to 0–2, making every remaining game a must-win. The Irish return home next Saturday to face Purdue. Len Clark, Network Indiana.
